The Rob Hooper Racing Motocross team are pleased to announce that evergreen Scottish racer Tony Craig will be their fill in 450 rider until the end of the season.
With injuries ruling out Ryan Houghton for the remainder of the season, and Taylor Hammal out for another four weeks or more, the team are pleased to be represented by Craig at the remaining Michelin MX Nationals and Maxxis British Motocross Championship rounds.
The Scottish veteran has been a long-time favourite of team boss Rob Hooper, who said of the signing “I admire how Tony goes about his business. He works hard all week and goes racing at the weekend. There is no pretension with him at all, and I am full of admiration for his commitment to the sport, plus he is a very good rider, and I am sure we can get some good results.”
“I would like to thank Rob Hooper for giving me the chance to come into the team for the rest of the season.” said Craig “I can’t wait to get racing on the Yamaha. After only a few rides on the bike, I have already fallen in love with it. I’d also like to thank all my sponsors for being ok with me taking this opportunity with the RHR team.”
Craig makes his team debut on Sunday at the famous Foxhills venue in Wiltshire at round 7 of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship.
